It's never over, but a new thread begins after 100 pages (mostly) devoted to AK powder pursuits and teletipstering in 2008-2009.

Powder to the people!

Looks like someone could have some good turns if they hauled their skis up to Crescent Lake

I am beginning to think we might need something like this for the Seward Highway

FH, you should of seen the young fool riding on two rims at 60mph at 5AM on Turnagain.
I called him in and am glad he went down hard. The shit-head kid deserves what he gets! BTW he tried killing the trooper and others that pulled him over! Hope he rots in jail the fk-nut. (Oh, should I mention I was a victim of such an a-hole a few years back...lucky to be skiing today)

Funhog, have you crunched the numbers for last season? It seems your prediction wasn't too bad....
I'd like a classic maritime snowpack this year, I'm over tracking buried surface hoar for months. It seems like we are due for a warm and wet one...what do your stats look like?

I'll have to dust that off again and look. In the mean time I put my thumb and forefinger up to my temples, roll my eyes back and start saying ooooooooo, I see rock solid snow pack to 7,500 feet from Cooper landing to Yakutat north to Stephan lake. Very Happy Above 7,500 feet I get white noise and channel changes, so maybe that's not so good skiing. Shocked

Not too much frost action seen on Tincan. Was up today on my annual Tincan Garbage Can cleanup day. Lots of beer and water bottles, was thinking folks have been getting sophisticated with the brown beer bottles until I noticed they were budweiser ales Laughing . I did score a nice shovel on the north side in case somebody is missing one. Can't do a summer trip without visiting the car battery. Place is getting cleaner.

North side of tincan:

You didn't find a brownish black diamond hat did you? I remember i had it on my pole thinking that my hand would notice if it wasn't there any more, I dont recommend that technique...
