Re: Saw this on Facebook - Voile TTS binding coming...

Looks clean, light and simple. Now we need some lightweight boots. Whatever became of that Crispi BC boot?

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

Thanks for the info, as always. Rolled the dice, waited it out and snapped'em up for $417! Figured it wasn't like I was missing any spectacular conditions anyway, waiting saved me some $$$$. Gonna try to mount my bindings today, hopefully ski tomorrow... Barring a coronavirus induced dystopian lockd...

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

Dude I ride my Objectives with T4s, no prob, in the bumps, etc. Voile hardwires with the big riser plate. Great combo for the Sherb! If we can coordinate you can always borrow mine for a look-see. Not my favorite hard snow ski, they are light and kind of soft and I find them chattery when on edge o...

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

Yeah, I think they're a great in-bounds ski. I like them better in-bounds than my V6s even though my objectives have a patterned base which is less than ideal for lift service. I find them to be just fine even on hard snow and ice... as long as it's a relatively uniform surface. Bumpy ice and track...

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

Ok, thanks for the info, I guess I really didnt know exactly why they didnt want tele bindings on them. I figured a couple bindings pulled and then the "suits" got involved. Didnt know how widespread it was. Kind of weird that Voile, of all companies wouldn't want tele bindings on their skis. Hopefu...

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

The boot/binding combination is fine; I ski the Objectives with Spikes and Excursions for all round BC stuff, though they do have limitations for more DH oriented BC stuff and/or difficult snow. Then, I'd take my Waybacks mounted with BMD Bulldogs, and the Excursions. I wouldn't want ski the Object...

Re: Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

Read the beginning of that thread, I'll revisit.

Gonna run a scarpa t4 for now. Gonna use this combo for uphills/lift serve and DH oriented BC, to replace my s112 maybe my 98s too with something more "alpinish". I'm often on ice/crust....

Tele bindings on Objectives, consensus?

I know a couple of you are running these skis with tele bindings, any issues? Is there an unofficial TT consensus on this?

I'm so close to snapping a pair up at a local shop, want to run them with a set of spike step ins, but would hate to spend the money and have something go wrong.

Re: It's XCd. Case closed.

now, with my NTN setup at lift serve areas, I'm pretty sure I am simply Telemark skiing. Blasphemy!!!! The ancients decreed that it's only tele in leathers. Plastic boots are sin. What your doing is FHD, free heel, downhill. Makes you wonder, if I free-heel up and down in an Alpine zone, is that Al...

Re: It's XCd. Case closed.

LBCT works too... Laid Back Chill Tele....? Long Beach Comp Ton No, just Light Backcountry Touring. When I first started XC I heard that term a lot locally, I think it was a way to differentiate from more Alpine/DH oriented Backcountry? Never hear it anymore or see it on the net really, but it mudd...
