Re: Ian's Shoelace Site

You're welcome!
I have been using lace lock under the ankle on my Alico Ski marches with good success.

Re: What is the ultimate compromise ski?

Another question- just interested: Why did you choose the 68 over the FT62? I thought that the Rabb might be slightly better downhill ski, and the extra width might be nice in breakable crust conditions that we usually get at the end of the winter. I debated a lot about different Åsnes models, main...

Improved kick and glide performance- for sure.

Re: What is the ultimate compromise ski?

I think I have finally got my Ski Marches adjusted to the point that they won't tear my heel apart from heel-lift! I want a properly fitting leather boot to use my Storetind on more moderate terrain. I would end up using it more often. I need a completely open day to get my Storetind onto T4 terrai...

Re: What is the ultimate compromise ski?

Resurrecting an old thread here: After skiing the OAC KARs and Madshus Eons and still longing for something in the middle of them (better glide than OAC, easier turning than Eon), and catching the Åsnes fever on this forum, I will be buying Åsnes Rabb68 skis in 180cm length once the Finnish retailer...

As far as I can remember, they were pretty much medium width, as I can't recall having that much issues with the width as I had with the length. Or maybe they were on the small side of medium, but definitely not truly narrow.

Re: The Finest Nordic Norm (NN) 75mm Backcountry Boots

Canna, for what is it worth, here is the Andrew sizing chart I found: http://www.telemarktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2155&p=24446#p24446 does this correspond to your experience? Any hints on sizing, particularly using MP? Hi bgregoire, I posted a comment about Andrew sizing on that thread...

Re: Nordic Backcountry Telemark Ski Boot Size Conversion Charts Depository

Warning about Andrew sizing: I had an old pair of Andrew Rifugios in size 43, which is the size I use in most shoes, and they were so small I had to sell them. My big toe was touching the front end of the shoe all the time. It was especially painful when walking, but skiing was not that pleasant eit...
