Re: NNN-BC toe bumper stiffness

Twould appear that Rottefella's intent for the stiffer more active red flexor is for Nordic skating... Yeah, the red NNN ones are obviously for skating... But for NNN-BC...? Why would anyone want a stiff flexor except for downhill purposes? Nobody is using NNNBC for downhill... Nobody is making tur...

Re: Fischer Nordic Rocker

Also- does Santa dress in the Coca-Cola uniform in the Nordic countries? Yes he does. At least in Finland the current Santa is bit of a mix of old traditional pagan Joulupukki (literal translation: Christmas Billygoat) who used to punish naughty Children and wear grey clothes, and the Christian and...

Re: Dealing with FRACKIN icy refrozen snow in the backcountry!

I will use kicker skins, either Madshus Intelligrip skins on skinny Merrel XCD GT skis or integrated skins on the OAC KAR147 "skishoes" (stupid name btw, to me they are much more ski than snowshoe). Both work fine on icy snow.

Re: Greetings! I'm all about the midwest hardwoods...

The article on your site was great! Really good introduction to rolling hills XCD skiing, which resembles what I'm doing on my local forest behind my house (although you seem to be much more skillfull :) ). I don't have that many glades, but there are places with not-so-dense trees where turns can b...

Hard to turn even with my downsized skis (180cm skis and I'm 181cm tall), but otherwise seem good for a beater pair of skis for thin snow.
Do you have any idea how old these skis are? Just bought them last year from flea market, I don't know much about their history.

Re: First snow in Finland!

Nice one Verskis! We had our first snow of the season too today (in the americain northeast) but I didn’t get to ski it. It involved too much drive for that kind of snow! But it’s just a matter of time before we hit the slopes! B63E4B2C-3C74-4614-B049-03D94F5546AA.jpeg Wow, I'm only dreaming of tho...

Re: Rottefella new MOVE System for 2017-2018

Seems rather gimmicky to me... But maybe the cross country racers will truly appreciate that.
I would rather see Rottefella develop something like truly burly NNN binding with integrated but removable TTS-like (or 75mm-like) cable.

First snow in Finland!

Hi, I have been lurking around here for a couple of years, never bothered to register for some reason. Now finally made it and registered! I was stoked to do some backyard backcountry XCD skiing yesterday when the first snow hit us in Finland quite early this year. Rocks and roots were not completel...
