Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Thanks for the advice on modification. I'm running 4mm of gap for the cartridges according to the manual for checking tension when clamping boot on binding. May bump it up to 6mm depending on first ski. Judging by stiffness just flexing into tele position on the carpet it feels like my axl in positi...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Installed the new X2 cartridges on my Voile 3 pin hardwires and they went on perfect for my 28 Mondo T2s. Plenty of room to spare for different size boots in my opinion. Feels stiffer from intial playing around on boots. I should be able to test on snow after work this Friday and make some turns.

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Well looks like my stock rods will work with the X2 cartridges. https://www.voile.com/voile-hardwire-telemark-binding-rods.html I will order X2 cartridges and report back. My other skis bindings are the Lynx and Axl so I am use to a very active binding. Stiffening up my Hardwires seems like a good e...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Check this picture out: 20180527_102332.jpg The right ski has the binding at my 30.5 boot and they mate nice, no problems. The left ski has the rods all the way in, as if it was for a very short boot, and they don't come close to being able to work. The metal connecting piece between the cartridges...

Re: first NTN thoughts- 22 Designs Lynx

Jacko. I have gotten more time on them but honestly I've been skiing my Axls more then the Lynx. I'd wait till the next version comes out. The new version is suppose to have longer springs to deal with claw issues and new toe piece with stronger springs. I do like the lynx and the way it skis. Big p...

Re: first NTN thoughts- 22 Designs Lynx

Installed a shorter cable from 22 designs for my v2. Only had one claw grab in tour mode on sticky snow. Need more time on them to confirm that was the fix, however the binding is now even more stiff with the shorter cable. I'm not sure how well the binding will work in spring conditions as I had pr...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Decided to take the day off and do some recon around one area in the Snowy Range Ive always wanted to ski. The common folk lore is no one has ever skied the ridge by the tiny little town of Albany, Wyoming. In the past when I have scoped out the run; it was always full of large granite boulders and ...

Re: problem with scarpa T2 eco

I had problems with my T2s. Had to send them back twice for warranty work and will be sending them back again due same onging issue with climbing bar and ski walk mech. The ski walk mech and climbing bars on the newer T2 Ecos with my experience are not durable at all. Scarpa's warranty is outstandin...
