Re: skis for making miles
The best skis I know for distance oriented tours: Asnes Mountain Race 48 Skin Asnes Mountain Tour 51 WL Super fast, super light, and both waxless. Think about the Fischer SuperLite series but with more stability and 3/4 metal edges... Similar to the Gamme, but much softer and lighter... Having spen...

Re: Asnes Mountain Race Jr (150cm)
Just to report back now that the season is over. MEC did a great job mounting the bindings and my son had a lot of fun with them.

I originally regretted getting Ingstads with a waxless base but they grew on me and I'm very happy I have them.

Re: Alico Ski March Boot
Don't compare the Baffin sizing with those other teleboots. Its another beast entirely. It has a massive plush liner that will probably mat out with time. Another reason I was surprised you chose size 43 is that my Baffin Apex's are size 42. I wear them with thin socks and they're comfortable. With...

Re: Asnes Mountain Race Jr (150cm)
Hey thank you all for chiming in. My photo isn't clear but yes the problem is that the screws are too long. I found shorter stainless steel ones with similar threads and countersunk heads except they're robertson instead of pozidriv. If place the binding so the bar is at the point of balance then th...

Asnes Mountain Race Jr (150cm)
My son's gonna be stoked when he sees his new skis! I've always been a fan of the Salomon SNS X-Adv bindings and boots and was bummed when they got discontinued. I found bindings and 2 pair of boots for $10 per pair. The smaller ones fit him now and he'll grow into the 2nd ones. The problem is that ...

Re: Alico Ski March Boot
... why do you think your Teletours are 9US and not 9UK? Have a look at the imprinted size on the tongue, I believe is says 9M. Loook at the sizing of your ski march, 8M? Are the boot soles of both the same length? My 8M Teletours have the same sole length as my Ski march 8M (8UK), my Crispi Sydpol...

Great! Interesting that the 8UKs also fit me well as do the 9US Teletours that were too large for you.bgregoire wrote:So I got my pair of Alico Ski March boots (8UK Regular) today
