Re: NNN-BC on-piste?

Bob, here are my thoughts about boot weight and how it affects skiing, and this only holds true for narrow skis that don't require a high stiff cuff to get on edge. A ski turns by weighting it, so it doesn't matter to the ski how stiff the boot is. The problem with light boots is that they have a ha...

For the distance you want to cover you would want the lightest gear, but for the terrain you would need the heaviest. For safety sake I would I would sacrifice speed for cont...

Re: Selecting My First Brand-New Skis (Backcountry Touring)

Correct me if I'm wrong, your goal in getting a high performance xc ski is to better handle terrain where you are currently doing self preservation turns and something that will track better on rough snowmobile trails without sacrificing xc performance. First I'd like to say that if your hills requi...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

I assume they have a smooth base. Does that ski come no wax, or just the integrated skin?

Re: BC Nordic for The Babies (!?!?)

Did anyone mention Whitewood Wildcats. I got them for my 5 and 7 yr. old grandkids. 95cm with a universal binding and they come with adjustable poles. We were doing laps in the yard and they were doing wedge turns around spruce bough gates. The skis seemed to turn easy for them. Unfortunately my 10 ...
