Re: Rossignol BC 125 - What are people using for bindings & boots?

I skied a set of SBound 125's with a Voile Switchback X2 and a Scarpa T4 boot for several seasons. I have not skied the Rossignol BC 125's, but the specs are similar the the SBound 125's. It is a great combo for backcountry telemark, where the focus is on turns, not long distance touring. A 3 pin sy...

Re: longtime lurker requesting ski advice

Your current ski at 169 cm sounds about right for what Fischer recommends for your weight. My wife is currently skiing the Fischer Excursion 88 at 169 cm as her off trail, forest service road setup. She weighs around 130 lbs with gear. The Excursion 88's have the same sidecut profile as your skis, b...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Snow is melting fast below 6000 feet, but great spring skiing above 7000 in Eastern Idaho (4/7/2020)

Re: NNN BC Binding Slop

If it hasn't moved, then you will need a stronger whack or several medium whacks. I don't know about this Tom. That metal clamp is the critical component of the binding. Its made of an uber hard metal and I don't believe it is well suited to being bent as you suggest. I have had more than one NNN-B...

Re: NNN BC Binding Slop

Its good to know that the bar on your boot hasn't been worn to a smaller diameter, so the slop is in the metal clamp in the binding that holds the bar. Since the boot bar is the proper diameter, all you need to do is to bend the metal clamp in the binding so that it closes tighter on the metal bar. ...

Re: NNN BC Binding Slop

The play shown in your video seems excessive. If you have a micrometer, you can measure the bar diameter to see if that is the issue. The bar diameter on my fairly new boots is 0.2 inches (5 mm). My best guess however, is that the metal bar clamp in the binding has spread apart ever so slightly with...

The video should work now. Thanks for the heads up.
