Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system

@Crister, As a Pedorthist, the mid foot curve to that sole seems like a lot. I think the boots will fit a lot of people better if the sole is less adducted. The design of the outer sole and the inside of the boot does not necessarily correspond in terms of fitting. You will see that a lot of ski bo...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system

Excited to check these out when the hit the stores, especially seeing that the bindings are adaptable for different types of skiing. @Åsnes1922, I guess you are sworn to secrecy at the moment, but are you able to say whether the Alfa boots you are testing are all brand new models, or are some older...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system

Hi guys! Nice to see that you're interested in the new Rottefella binding. It gets a lot of attention pretty much everywhere, and it is an interesting development. I won't disclose too much as of yet, but I can say that we're excited about this binding here at Åsnes. We will also tune (re-amp) model...

Re: UTE Mag review - Falketind 62

Hi there, Unfortunately, the test you're referencing did not test the Falketind 62 up against comparable skis or for it's intended use. We have talked to Utemagasinet, and they admit that the test lacked context and fair comparison. Unfortunately, it was published before the right editors, and we go...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2020-2021!)

The world's most objective skitesters, and the great team at Blister Review has put the Voss Z'N to the test, reviewed it and included it in their "Buyers Guide" - Check it out! We're really happy with the review, which confirms our philosophy going into the design process. "If you prefer at stronge...

Re: Ski Length Dilemma

You are right, my good man. I choose the FT62 for use above treeline, and when traversing in more open and flatter terrain. For more technical and playful skiing, I have the FT62 in 188cm as my "go-to" ski for most days. To be hones, I prefer the Ingstad 205cm if I want more K&G - as in the conditi...

Re: Ski Length Dilemma

Just to be clear- I tend towards long skis in general- especially with any ski that I want to crush some miles on. And- if I was living in the mountains and downhill-touring above treeline- I would be on a long stable downhill ski. But- I don't live in the mountains anymore and my local BC downhill...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2020-2021!)
Bottom line, please Frank, Asbjørn and @Åsnes1922, can't you see how badly we all need wide WL skis? Better do it soon before we all spend our stimulus checks on Voile or Fischer waxless skis...
We're working on a lot of exciting things. And I believe you will be very happy a...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2020-2021!)
Oh well Crister you better be rigth because I sold my 188 FT for the promise of better K&G with the 196. I was really happy with the 188 but I expect the 196 to be even better for my body size and my terrain. Correct me if i am wrong, but i think the FT62 « should » be picked a bit ...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2020-2021!)

Åsnes 1922, thanks for your responses. You sold me on a longer FT 62, however that purchase is a few years down the road. I really enjoy the FT 62 I currently ski. I will I need to put much more wear on that set. I just can’t replace something that works so well. You may need to request a commissio...
