Re: Åsnes Borge Ousland BC Ski Review
Hi Sunfun I really love my Ousland skis, they feel very efficient and are still quite turny. But I bet you have used them more than I. I dont find the rocker on mine very long but I think skis with longer rocker have shorter glide zones on consolidated snow and getting the wax just right is a bit tr...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Here some norway fjellski tour pictures of the Sylan massif, 1.5 hours drive from Trondheim. In no particular order, the pictures are from the area here https://www.norgeskart.no/#!?project=norgeskart&layers=1002,1015&zoom=10&lat=7010685.29&lon=343263.35 The tours are between Bjørneggen, Schulzhytta...

Re: Front skins with kicker skins instead of full length... anyone tried this?
One doesn't learn and improve when things are easy or going well. I'd rather be well versed with crap conditions in southern Norway than discover a deficiency somewhere significantly more remote, such as Greenland. I'll have no control over the weather regardless; I can only control my preparations...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Only a 2 hour trip including drive and shower, but I got a lot for my time. Impressed with the Ousland skis, although the terrain was more suited to FT62. Re: Crispi Futura Pro feedback.
Im not sure yet if i am completely happy with these overall. I used them in a combined tour with steep climbs and descents mostly in powder and a bit on a hard snow, groomed slope. I liked the tour comfort a lot, but when I closed the power strap on the brace I got some nasty chafing on the downhill...

Cool vids!
As a kid I used to dream of being a fighter pilot, and F-14 was my "favorite" plane, although they did not fly in the country I grew up in.

Re: Crispi Futura Pro feedback.
Excellent review! I got a pair of the Crispi Futura Pro XP, also size 46. The only other Xplore boot I have is Alfa Free and I intend to keep both, the boots are quite different and have different strengths. I have not had the chance to test the torsional rigidity of the Crispi compared to the Free,...

Re: Which ski for heavy skier?
Chriso nice that you had a good time. Flotation comes from stiffness along the length and width underfoot mostly. Agree that wax vs. mohair skins gives comparable glide in powder, more difference on hard snow or prepared tracks. The NATO is a good ski but i would say it's closer to the gamme than t...
