WTB Switchback mounted ski

Looking to push my rice crispy knees to the limit this season.

Got a switch back mounted ski good for variable east coast snow?
I am 190lb

Thank you!

“Dear Henry. Where are you? We waited and wait but finally decided that ... we were going to skin up Smugs.”

Re: FYI: Jay Peak is closed till further notice

I wouldn't mind Al and go skiing and skinning if they are closed. You just need to be discreet. Very few employees are intervening when the see us skinning up when the resort is closed. At least in the Quebec city area... Stoneham, for exemple: some employees even told me where in the mountain it w...

Re: Favorite places to XCd in Vermont? Taking trip next tues-thurs

Sections of the Catamount Trail near downhill resorts yield some great trail side pitches. Back Country Alliance is also a good resource. There are some BC ski outfits that are making great precedent working with US Forest Service making BC ski areas. Sections 23-25 are really nice for ducking off t...

Re: advice on ski selection and other things

Trashcat you’re reading my mind I had the same experience on the Catamount Trail this past weekend. Warm hard pack, hiking trail descents (10% can feel vertical in these conditions!) getting zipped past by AT gear folks forcefully pivoting their way down. They didn’t see me of course, as I was off t...

Re: Anyone using "lobster mitts/ trigger finger mitts?

I’ve been using the same pair of Pearl Izumi lobster kits for about 8 years now.

Skiing
Bike commuting

Great gloves.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Just a normal neighborhood ski, some good kick turn and other BC practice on about a foot of fresh.

Re: PM issue

Seems like this person may have disabled PMs and would prefer not to receive them.

You can find that option in Edit Global Settings within the Board options in your control panel

Re: When do people find time to ski??

I ski from 6:45 to 7:45 every morning, I’ve taken about 8 days off this season (started after Xmas for me). I ski a large tour on Saturdays and a small one on Sunday. Usually totaling about 22-25mi a week. I can ski out the back door, so it’s easiest, but trails are only 5mi. away or on the way home...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Thank you for this. Nice to see some dust at least on top of what little base we have here in New England. Nothing in the middle of New Hampshire. Some great pics on this thread! Woot Snowbird! Alaska! Hell yeah! It’s not much but it’s ours. “Builds character.” My character is all built out.....but...
