Same skin for two sets of skis?

Touring newbie here. With all the resorts closed because of Covid-19 I thought I could start hiking up. Always wanted to do this so thought it'd be a good time to finally take the plunge. Been looking at skins and they are not cheap. I have two pairs of skis which I'm hoping to get skins for and I'm...

I have been learning to tele for a while and I noticed that my skis were parallel for too long during the lead change (so at the point where both of my skis are facing downhill). In theory I'm aware that I should be pushing the downhill ski forward while pushing the uphill ski back (though I underst...

When do people find time to ski??

Given this season only starts say late November how is it possible to fit 30+ days in if you have a full time job? For me I've only been able to go skiing in the weekends so far...

Re: ski recommendation

I will spend most of my time skiing in the East Coast and probably 70% of the time on the slopes so I guess I wouldn't need skis that are too soft but softer than their alpine counterpart?

Re: ski recommendation

Here's your solution, actually: https://summitcone.com/ Get the Pariah 97 in a 177 and Bob's Your Uncle. Peace of mind, nice flex, done and done. Thanks for the suggestion - they look good but I'm looking something a bit narrower. Maybe no more than 95 underfoot. The problem I find is that most of ...

Wait I just reread your post.. when you say ripped off.. . You mean you ripped them out? What binding? What boot? Who mounted them?
NTN freedom binding with scarpa tx. Yea sorry ripped out. I have them mount in a specialist backcountry ski shop(not just a normal alpine ski shop)

ski recommendation

When I asked around what telemark skis I should get I've been getting contradictory responses: "Go short - Telemark stance is far longer than a normal alpine stance" "Go long - longer skis give much better directional stability" "Go Soft - you can't flex the skis as well. You'll get tired quickly wi...
