Re: Sporten: a new player on the nordic backcountry ski scen
I think this. Winter backpacking or expeds. Shorter length and increased width for maneuverability and stability I'd assume. To be more precise, why strong camber, larger width AND pronounced sidecut? Straighter skis with strong camber seems ok for k&g and touring in powder, but one doesn't need th...

Re: Sporten: a new player on the nordic backcountry ski scen
I do not know if I would be interested. I've seen em here in Quebec City... Strong camber, reminding me the Rossis (except the 125). I had Rossis BC90 at some point. Sold them immediately after a couple of try. The climbing was horrible, the turning not much better; problem is I followed the mfg rec...

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
There ain't no rules in skiing unless you talk to the PSIA instructors I don't think you have it right. PSIA instructors just developed a certain pedagogy for downhill skiing, for a certain terrain... Most CANSI (like PSIA) instructors that I know are pretty open mind... They know the limits of the...

Telebry release plates 30$ SOLD
SOLD...In good overall shape... Best for heavy skier. At my DIN setting (low), there is a little play in the mechanism... It was sent to Bryce Wheeler to be checked this summer and everything seemed fine. Sold as is... It includes the brakes that are not shown...

Re: Voile Hardwire 3-Pin for touring/resort ?

Re: madshus voss bindings
It is not crazy at all... Just follow your first intuition. 3 pin on Voss? No problem... Like Mike is saying, you do not need the stiffest boot. I think 3 pin will make them a bit more maniable... I use my Glittertind with 3 pins; I like the set-up... I even took em with Excursion plastic boots. Ove...

Re: Question on binding mount location
I wouldn't bother... I would mount boot center on centre mark (Alpine)... I do that to all my skis. If it doesn't feel right, I move the binding a bit further or aft... Takes a little time to get use to it but you will see an improvement at the end of your turn...

Re: Quiver Killer... Qu'est-ce que c'est?
Blague à part, I really, really like my AT K2 Sahale mounted with a Voile release kit: —good for K&G, since they are pretty straight... —good for wax retention; —not too wide, not too skinny—69 at the waist; —very good for turns too, if I put a stronger binding (I can switch from Superloops to Cobra...
