Re: ALPINA DISCOVERY 80 SKIS
I have owned Discovery 60's (68-60-62) for about 5 years. I think these skis would do what you want, I don't know if you need to go wider, except to make turns. The 60's will fit into tracks as well, but are certainly are too stiff to be optimum for track skiing. The 80's obviously will not. The onl...

Re: NNN-BC boot fit advice
Fischer's Offtrack BC boots are very soft and very comfortable- they are softer all around- including sole flex- than stiffer boots like the Fischer BCX6 (my family owns a pair of the 3 and the 5). The BCX6 has had lots of problems- hence why they are constantly being redesigned. In the Rossi line-...

Re: NNN-BC boot fit advice
Thanks. Interesting that you had the same problem
The only brand carried by my local store is Rossi, I don't know what boots they sell.
Otherwise, its a 50 mile drive to REI in Kennewick that I can't make right now (working 7 days a week).
Satsuma.

NNN-BC boot fit advice
I have been looking at Ebay and it is getting me interested in buying some new NNN-BC boots. My current boots are an older model of Alpina 1550 Size 44, which are adequate for the type of skiing I do on them (mostly flat, compacted snow, off-track), but have some problem with toe pinch. My skis are ...

Re: World's smallest NNNBC boot?
I don't see much in NNN-BC boots specifically in kids sizes. Consider using a combi boot with either SNS or NNN bindings. From webcams, looks like we're getting a bit of snow in the Blue Mountains as well.

Re: updated Fischer site
I was historically heavy and would previously have needed longest length. 189 cm was not bad for me, and probably would still be the correct size, since I am down to about 185-190 lbs. I am only 5'7" and have short legs as well, the longer skis are difficult.

Re: Snow!
It's the desert here--no precipitation here since June 5. Maybe some tonight at 5000'.
BTW, my profile picture was taken on the Moulton trails overlooking Butte.
