Nice batch of kindling there mca!
If you couldn't tell, I was expecting more snowfall and wanted to ensure the wood stayed well elevated and in direct line of wind. Most of that gets used in the sauna.

Re: 2024 Quiver

Waist size, smallest to largest. I have accumulated too many, but I love skiing and most were used when bought, and get a lot of use when there is a real winter. Prepping all but the Rossi and Sondre for summer storage right now. Fischer Superlite 192, was very lightly used w/binding Fischer RCS Col...

Re: Style

What's everyone's definition of "poor conditions"? We had 0 snow, the it snowed 10" in about 24 hrs then got warm and rained and it was 3" of total slush--you took a step and your boot splashed everything to the side and hit the mud--then it all re froze. I got to xc ski flattish terrain in that cr...

Re: Style

All over it. So apparently one of the resorts local to Calgary, Fortress Mountain, is potentially reopening. Hoping it will create a more competitive season ticket pricing environment. Now just need to do something about fuel prices. So hard to ski these days. Easy to to talk hard to ski Ha! You th...

Re: Fake Fjalraven cotton anorak

You use case sounds like what the Noronna would be good for so far as I know. But the narrower fit is an issue. But if you're talking $200 vs $500 for a Fjallraven, no question.

Thanks, that's helpful. I think I'd need a little more volume. Will wait to try something on I think
Yeah unless you are tall slender Nordic type physique you will wish for more volume. I do, anyway.

Re: Fake Fjalraven cotton anorak

I have worn my Noronna once so far, just on a hike through relatively open space where winds of 30mph could hit me in roughly 20F temps. It blocked wind pretty darn well for being 75% cotton. It wasn't the most vigorous hike so I can't comment on how it performs when sweating. I got it basically as ...

Re: Ski Recommendations for Multi-Day Winter Camping Trips in Ontario

I think @mca80 is spot on as he lives in similar terrain. I thought I would add an Xskin and a full skin if the trail is steep and thick woods make alternate routes difficult. X skin for sure. Full skin not here, the steep sections are gonna be short, but I don't know about where s/he is in Ontario...
