Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

a nnn bc or a non-norwergian stitch nn resole is easy peasy for any cobbler to do as long as you have the replacement sole! i have had 2 nn resoles done on old boots as the glue ends up drying up after so many years (15 or more?). ciao.

WTT: Asnes Amundsen 201cm / Fischer E99 xtralite waxless 200cm

Looking to trade my Asnes Amundsen 201cm and my Fischer E99 xtralite waxless 200 cm. (Both are currently installed with NNN BC bindings) This trade would probably work best for someone from CANADA in the 175-190 lbs (or perhaps even more for the Amundsens) category who realized they bought a size to...

Re: Asnes New X-Skin System Review (Nylon, Mohair and Race)

Just rub a candle into the skin, or BD sells one that can be found more easily than Asnes' in NA. It really helps prevent the hairs from matting when exposed to humidity. But if its glide you really need, you have mohair, or much much better: Grip wax! Happy skiing. We just got our motherload up her...

Re: Does baking/molding liners make them pack out faster?

What is wrong with the home oven technique when done right? I understood Intuition recommends the rice method for home and i assumed that was because they did not want to take responsibility (or similar) for mistakes. My take is that the rice method is safe but close to placebo...far from a properly...

Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

[What I am concerned with is if that Nordic-rockered tip is ultra soft and wimpy- or whether it is suppportive and integrated into the overall flex of the ski. If that tip is not supportive enough- they will be fine as downhill ski- but they will suck as a XC ski in deep snow... Hey Johnny, I would...

Re: And they say Telemark skiing is dead and rotting.

Sorry Harris, I'm getting cranky here waiting for snow here in eastern Québec (It's just not coming) and somehow that poured into this thread last night. Of course there is some great skiing in that vid. I'm just one of those punkass bored cross-country skiers teleing the hot-dog ballet out of a wob...

Re: Buying Asnes skis...

I think there is a precise size pic on their website. Definitely do not get a 43. I'm wide 42s to and at first I got alfa 43s and I was floating! Even the 42s are a tad big, but i cant complain.

Fun! Any yellow and pink rottefella traps to offer up for trade? Those would fit fine on my next pair of skis!

Re: Buying Asnes skis...

LC, the thing with boots, as you know, is that the size you order just might not be right! Another + for a Canadian order. And think about all the lonely black bears you are saving by keeping your money inside our borders! By the way, the Alfas fit wider than all the others, so if width is the limit...
