Spring break!

I love Prospect Mountain Ski Resort . The lodge is cozy, the food is delicious and well priced, and the people are kind, happy, and polite. So, when the weather reports showed a large snow event the first week of April I was amped  to squeeze in one more trip. It was to be a decidedly more ch...

Re: Top sheet designs

@mca80 Unfortunately I don’t know anything about the skis other than the fact that they’re phenomenal works of art. I’d love to get a set but $2,200 is a steep price

Re: Fischer 23/24 EZ skin models.

I was pretty bummed when I got my Traverse 78's from REI last month and discovered they didn't have the EZ Skin attachment  I spoke to an employee at Great Glen Trails in NH about it (they are a Fischer dealer) and she said that with the Ukraine factory fire (I am sure the war isn't helping muc...

You might check out Granite Backcountry Alliance I skied the Maple Villa Glade last season when the backcountry around Mt. Washington was too sketchy. There are a lot of options around there for glades too besides Maple Villa...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

I don't typically ski in wet conditions but I knew I was going to be paranoid heading out into the backcountry if I didn't go the epoxy route. In the end I was glad I did. When I went to remove the screws they were WAY too easy to remove. I had torqued them to ~3nm when I installed them but they cam...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

Thank you telerat and Stephen for your responses. I nerd-ed out a bit on the glue perhaps a bit too much after reading your posts and now I am thinking it is probably better to be safe than sorry and just use epoxy... I used Titebond II (2) , which has an ANSI/HPVA Type II water-resistance. After re...

Since the winter is predicted to be warmer, I need a distraction until the snowfall arrives in a few months.

Re: Telehiro in his own words

That was a great video! The snow monsters there are amazing. Both times I went we didn't have blue skies though, we were skiing in the clouds. At one point the clouds were so thick we couldn't tell what was up or down and a skier in our party skinned right off of cornice. He was alright, only fell a...
