Re: NNN-BC on-piste?

Yep, I do all the time... My S98s and my Tua Hydrogens are my dedicated NNN on-piste skis... (The more I play with the Ingstad, the more I think it would also make a super-nice on-piste DH NNN ski... Quiver ski... Quiver ski...) I always make my own leashes with removable key rings... So I can remov...

Re: NTN newbie, should I get the Meidjo 2.1 or Outlaw X ?

Well said... One of the cool things about tele no matter what gear used is how it can work using personalized techniques. You can take 2 people on completely different gear, using somewhat different technique, and both can jam a slope with authority. I've switched skis with guys and wondered how in ...

Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

Grampa, have you ever paid more than 10$ for a pair of skis? You can buy a pair of Asnes Ingstads right now, ski them on rocks and logs and fern and piss on them for only 600$ USD + import fees. You will LOVE them, the rocker will make them turn very easily while providing perfect stability on deep ...

Re: NTN newbie, should I get the Meidjo 2.1 or Outlaw X ?

To old schoolers today's telemark is most often a pseudo-mark. More parallel with fake tele thrown in for style points. But that is another matter. I totally agree... It's a different sport man... I once had this discussion with a CANSI level 3 member... I was saying how the whole BOF technique doe...

Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

More like 6" actually... ;) Another thing I like about Asniees is that they are SUPER fast... No way I'm going to take the chance of having one single frozen grass stem touch my beloved bases and reduce that speed... (I might give them a try tomorrow at the golf course though...) Didn't mount t...

Re: Hagan Off Trace Skis

the Alpina ski is actually made by Sporten. the only difference is the cosmetics. My guess, this is why they are bad at advertizing, they focu on building and have other businesses selling under their own brand names. My guess is that they must be as heavy as the Alpinas then... ;) Which is probabl...

Re: Hagan Off Trace Skis

Thanks Ben! You're welcome here anytime... (But keep in mind that most of my skis are now in storage, as we now live in a small (but ski-in ski-out) condo... ) Those Sporten skis are really nice... I remember checking them out last year... But man, a ski company who is not posting ski weights on the...

Re: Fischer Nordic Rocker

I thought a Nordic Rocker was some sort of Santa Claus wearing a perfecto (leather jacket)... Funniest post of the year...!!!!! Rod, I give you a 10/10 on that one... After all this terribly serious talk about something so unclear and blurry, that NR guy pic is just puuuurfect...! ;) (Ok, now...

Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

I wonder how NR changes mounting position? This is something quite important... As obviously, here on the 410mm rockered Ingstads, the ski should react in a different way... Normally, you would expect the ski center line to be a bit different... But, even more interesting... There is no mounting ma...
