Re: NTN newbie, should I get the Meidjo 2.1 or Outlaw X ?

They all release, the Freeride, the Meidjo, the Outlaw and all the exotic tech variations. The Meidjo does have a more advanced release system. BUT... My opinion is that one should never base his decision on releasability. Unless it's DIN approved, it's never going to mean "safety". Of cou...

Re: New Asnes skis for the 2017-2018 season!

It's amazing how an update on a website can get me excited that much about a ski... 8-)

Re: How short for Glittertind?

If one wants a narrow Nordic ski for downhill skiing- then I would be looking at a different ski with a smoother, rounder flex. The only ski that comes to mind immediately is the Nansen- perhaps Alpina's Discovery series? I had two pairs of Alpina Discovery skis... They are the stiffest skis I have...

The shells of my prophets were abused to death without any problem... Not sure Scott use the same plastic but I still see them around at the resort after like what... 7-8 years...?

Hey Pauwté Tchingtok! Welcome to TT...! The Meidjo is a killer binding if you're mostly into BC and looking for a light NTN binding. The Outlaw is an awesome binding if you're looking for the most solid, heavy-duty, and unbreakable binding out there. But may I ask, why don't you just get your hands ...

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN 2017 vs 2018

It cost a fortune to make small changes in manufacturing processes... If there was something new in the boot, you can be sure they would tell the world about it... In capital letters... 8-)

I'm pretty sure it's still a Garmont Prophet boot with super-cool graphics...

Re: Tele vs parallel.

That taught me that skill trumps gear. That is one ultimate truth. And also the reason why we, XCDers, are such a small minority... Now I need to figure out how to make a quick jump turn without needing to plant both poles to get airborne. Always something to learn! Ahahah.. I remember that... I re...

Re: How short for Glittertind?

Let me ask you all this -- If I'm used to skiing a pair of Rebounds in 179 cm length, and I like them well enough for skiing in others' tracks and going off-trail, how would the Glittertind skis compare if I chose 190 cm for those? -- If you're into downhill stuff, I would stick with the Rebounds.....
