Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

Hey Johnny,
I need some help figuring out sizing in these boots!
What size did you order? What size are you normally? What size are your standard Alaska BCs?

Re: Rottefella's latest evolution of adjustable NNN mounting- the "MOVE SYSTEM"

I am actually thinking about pulling my NIS plate off of my Atomic track touring skis and mounting NNN-BC on them...
I hate my Rossi NNN Classic touring boots and do not want to spend money on a new pair of NNN track boots...

Re: Nordic Backcountry / Telemark Boot Size Conversion Charts Depository

I'm still looking for an official Fischer size chart for their nordic backcountry boot line. In the meantime, I've made a very unsettling discovery in my very own home: The generic Rottefella NNN-BC sole of my Alfa Dynamic size 41EU (8US on the boot) and my Fischer BCX6 size 43EU are a PERFECT matc...

Re: Rottefella's latest evolution of adjustable NNN mounting- the "MOVE SYSTEM"

Right! For some reason I only remembered the electric version. They are kinda of a "must have" aren't they. Especially on a waxless ski where you cannot compensate with kick-grip wax. But- downhill the ability to move that binding would rock! Just need to make it light enough and strong en...

Rottefella's latest evolution of adjustable NNN mounting- the "MOVE SYSTEM"

Not that I think this is necessary in a backcountry touring context- where one can simply extend kick wax forwards without obsessing a loss of optimal groomed track performance... It WOULD be cool to be able to move the binding point forwards or backwards with the turn of a switch on a NNNBC binding...

Re: Nordic Backcountry Setup for Novice Skier

Without taking the time to analyze your elevation profile charts... Figure out limiting factors and safety first... How are you going to handle safely skiing down steep slopes? Lowangle Al's recommendation of the Vector and T4 (similar to the Excursion) is something to consider. A ski like the Vecto...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

Out for my first good tur on my new 210cm Asnes Gamme 54. I'm in love all over again. We had an ice storm last week, followed by extremely cold weather (-23C here this morning in the hills!). There is at least 2 feet of rock solid, consolidated frozen base with dustings of flurries sprinkled on top....

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

Tried to watch that video- had to open it in YouTube- didn't see any skiers...
Lots of horses and sleighs, fiddles and dancers...

Those Norwegian Fjords and Swedish Ardennes horses- exactly the horses I want on my farm.
