Re: I’ve lost track...what I should I get for XCD these days?

Hey snow-mark, Are you looking for something more or different in a ski with similar dimensions to the Epoch? Fischer's S-Bound 98 has almost the exact same width/sidecut but has a stiffer flex- as well some Nordic rocker in the tip. Which one is better- seems to depend both on the skier and the sno...

I will be greatly interested in what you think of the Cecile/Nansen. I almost bought a Nansen BC, but decided on the Ingstad instead!

Re: Åsnes Nansen & Cecilie Skog binding placement?

What's the camber/flex like on this ski? It is the Nansen right? Isn't it another ski that Asnees describes as having a "moderate wax pocket"? https://www.en.asnes.com/produkt/cecilie-bc/ Has the Nansen/Cecile been redesigned since Gamme the Elder's UTE test/review? Sucky that we can't rea...

Re: Åsnes Nansen & Cecilie Skog binding placement?

Hey man,
You're right- there was some strange advice in the UTE review- or at least they found the wax pocket further back then balance point- or something like that...

Have you contacted Asnes and asked them?

Re: NNN/NNNBC mounting pattern/ Nordic touring setup for young children

Yeah- I do want that jig! The Balla Hoks are just amazing bushwacking/yo-yo skis for kids in deep soft snow! My youngest spent countless hours climbing/skiing down a small hill behind our barn last winter! Yeah- I wish I had bought a pair of the Mountain Race JR for Maeve! I am thinking that the ide...

Re: World's smallest NNNBC boot?

Yeah- I think I am going to have to start with NNN-like I did with my two oldest children.
However- I am going to mount NNN on a backcountry ski this time- not a touring ski designed for the groomed track!

Re: NNN-BC boot fit advice

Fischer's Offtrack BC boots are very soft and very comfortable- they are softer all around- including sole flex- than stiffer boots like the Fischer BCX6 (my family owns a pair of the 3 and the 5). The BCX6 has had lots of problems- hence why they are constantly being redesigned. In the Rossi line- ...

NNN/NNNBC mounting pattern/ Nordic touring setup for young children

Does anyone have a universal Rottefella mounting jig? I am wondering what the mounting screw pattern is for NNN versus NNNBC... I am trying to set up a backcountry ski for my youngest children. With my two oldest they suffered using short track touring skis- way too stiff and cambered for backcountr...
