Re: Best ski for Nnn-BC xcD

First a ton of work and then i went skiing to lick my wounds. This resonated with me! After a lot of thinking (during skiing) i feel like any ski i would use has to be good for k&g because in Most Swedish settings this is always the biggest part of any tour This is the same context as my local ...

Re: Alico Nordic March sizing

Hi Rod- I am a 42.5EU, (27-27.5 Mondo) and normally wear a 9-9.5US. UK sizes- I think- are supposed to run a full-size smaller than a US men's... I ordered the 8UK- they are a tad short on my slightly longer left foot. They are a good fit for length. I have trouble with this boot because of boot vol...

Re: Scales vs. Kicker-Skins

My nylon kicker skins are getting almost no use. I can see using them for strictly climbing- and, they obviously are more durable than mohair- but, for Nordic touring the grip/glide balance of mohair is unbeatable. The 60mm mohair works on the Combat Nato due to its camber-flex. I would think that t...

Nylon or mohair?

Re: Åsnes Gamme

Do you guys think a ski like the Falketind would be enjoyable on NNN-BC? If I bought the FT62- NNNBC. I have the Storetind/FT68- although it is only 68mm, it is a stiff and powerful ski- I am not aware of a NNNBC boot that would offer enough support/leverage for this ski (at least for a mere mortal...

Scales vs. Kicker-Skins

So- my Koms let me down this week. I had the morning free- got up very early to do chores- hit a local steep open field just after dawn. It was almost 10C the afternoon before- went down to -12C overnight. South-facing slope- 30-45%. About 75 metres vertical. Over a metre of dense consolidated sprin...
