Re: Ski Review: 2018-2019 Åsnes Ingstad BC

Was out on another grueling hillcountry tour on the Ingstad on Saturday.
Very deep, wet, difficult snow- it was warm- steep challenging terrain.
I love this ski.

Re: Thinner 75mm boot soles?

I can confirm that the first-generation Alaska 75 had a 15mm duckbill.
I cannot speak for the current model Alaska 75- though I did examine it briefly and it definitely had a stiffer sole-flex than the first-gen, with its super floppy sole.

Re: Permanent integrated Skin in BC skis Sporten Explorer Skin

Hi Guys Yesterday I did my first run in pretty steep terrain. 1200 meters incline on 13 km Yum I love vertical terrain. I love downhill skiing, but you know I love climbing as well! I met just alpine tourists along the way. Were they skiing? If so- what equipment were they using? Going up was fine,...

Re: Permanent integrated Skin in BC skis Sporten Explorer Skin

Wow- Stefan, those photos are spectacular! I had no idea there were mountains like that in Slovakia!! What are the names of the mountain ranges? In that photo with you and the ski raised on its tip- why is the snow all rutted and broken up like that? I particularly love that last photo! That untrack...

Re: Asnes Rabb 68 Ski Review

Thank you for the report on the Rabb 68 at the icy, cruddy ski hill. I have yet to take my Storetind to my local hill. In fact, I have yet to use my Storetind Carbon unless the snow conditions are just right to charge and carve steep terrain here in the hills. I am getting the feeling that the Rabb ...

Here is the website for those wool insoles:
https://www.chennabaree.com/shop/

The ones I have are the "Winter Warmers".
They are amazing- comfortable, warm, breathable, absorbent and supportive.

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

I will contact them and see how many he might have for sale- and price. (They were given to me as a gift.) He is making them by hand with some sort of press/stitching machine that he made himself apparently!

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

Some more notes on this boot: The midsole on this boot is considerably softer than the Alaska BC. I can torque and twist the sole of this boot with my bare hands- I still cannot do that with my Alaska BC after more than 5 seasons of use! The Guard Advance could do with a stiffer and more stable mids...

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

Ha- yes they are pink- it was the only 42EU he had in stock at the time that I got them. They are two big for my wife and eldest daughter's boots- otherwise they would have already stolen them from me! They are the perfect mate for my cavernous boots- Guard Advance and Ski March. They are beautifull...
