Re: Ski Movies

The last minute and a half of the above movie is EVERYTHING that I love about skiing in the east. WOW. I love it! He nailed it on this one.

Re: Ski Care

You're just trying to keep moisture off the edges to keep them from rusting. I know some people have used vaseline. F4 is expensive per oz, you might as well save it for skiing, which what I was kinda getting at. I typically use Toko Non-FL waxes for different temperatures. Blue, Red, Yellow. So for...

Re: Ski Care

I throw on a coat of warm snow wax and call it good. Then it's good to go in October. No scraping or multiple coats or anything. Otherwise, you can probably keep the F4 in the can. Keep them off the concrete in the basement or especially the garage. Humidity through the concrete will rust the edges ...

Unexpected medical issue just popped up this morning and while everything is going to be OK I have to get shots for the next couple of weeks at specific dates. I can't believe it. (They also told me to make sure I removed soft kick wax/klister before applying the skin!) The 60mm mohair SKin-Lock is by far my favorite and most-used skin- both o...

Re: hemiboreal forest skiing in New Brunswick Canada

Absolutely mind-blowing spring ski touring today- was out on my E99 Tour with 35mm Easy-Skin for hours today- absolutely flying through the hills. It has been remarkably cold this week- in between a couple of storms. We had several hours of soft snow last night and then snow showers throughout the ...

Re: Traverse 78

If you're doing long flat sections like in Norway or between mountains in Scotland then I would gravitate to the 99 and/or 109 for sure. There are very comprehensive reviews of both skis in the Ski Review section of this site. Unfortunately I don't think the 109 is made with Crown anymore. You reall...
