Re: BCX TRANSNORDIC 75 waterproof

You're fine, OldBoy. It will get more traction here, but you're fine. Welcome. I handled a pair recently... There is a post somewhere here about them. The are very tall and very stiff. Not sure about the waterproofness but I'm sure they are quite resistant at the very least. I don't know if they are...

I told you guys it was kinda stiff! I love it. And lighter than the PRE-Xtralite to boot!

If the weight reduction is mostly in the tip, then the balance point might be a little further back too, which might make them just a tiny bit less turny... And faster. I keep thinking I might move mine backwards a bit, ...

I had the same problem. And I was swimming in every other dimension, so thicker socks and insoles were a necessity but impossible.

Re: fjellski for wisconsin

I write this in unfortunate haste but damn, with a good consistent snowpack like that I'd definitely lean towards wax and double cambered (or more cambered) so you can run a skin or klister easily when in warms up. 200cm Gamme without hesitation. Or 200 Transnordic 66 Wax/EZ Skin... (Not the crown) ...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

I'm going to be more bullish this year finding snow. I found a couple mile stretch in northern NH this morning. 5" of light fluff on asphalt. Some turns too. 205cm E99 pre -Xtralite was the weapon of choice this morning, though I think the MT51 would've been better (more power with the double camber...

Re: Ski Review: 2018-2019 Fischer Traverse 78

Note- Flexing my 78 again this evening (or should I say Rebecca's 78...)- I am reminded that- alhtough these are significantly cambered Nordic touring skis- they lack the very stiff resistance underfoot of skis like the E99/Gamme 54/Sverdrup. Both the Ingstad and the E109 are more resistant underfo...
