Re: 2014 Fischer E-99 Crown

We're having the weather and the snow where I break out my E-99 Crowns and just pound down the miles. Warm, 50degF with loose granular snow rotting from every angle after a brief ran. The corn fields hold snow well in the NW corners where the trees act as a snow fence. The rocker keeps the tips up o...

Re: Hot waxing scales... pro tips!

As far as hotwaxing the scales is concerned, I am usually successful by applying wax by crayoning it onto the scales as generously as I have patience for, but only go with the scales when applying, not against so you don't accumulate wax in the scales. Then quickly run the iron with (not against) t...

Re: Hot waxing scales... pro tips!

[ I’ve had success with my Koms following this guy’s method. Brush out (side to side and lengthwise) with a TOKO/swix brass brush. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9mF5s6_dTlk The paper towel technique isn't working for me, I'm filling the scales pretty good. How do you keep the brash brush from gummi...

Re: Falketind 62 Review

I guess it depends on design intent and use. A track groove certainly helps a ski's tracking when XC skiing. The FT62 is certainly different than the FT68 (which is the redesigned Storetind)- the FT62 appears to have a track groove in the photos on the Asnes site...The Asnes site describes the FT62...

Atomic Vantage 85 Review

BooYA my Atomic Vantage 85s have become my number 1, go-to, do-it-all ski for the frontside. BAM! They come out of the gate, don't ask questions, kick ass, take names, accept phone numbers, and don't look back at explosions. BOOM! 173cm 125-85-109 All Mtn Rocker which translates to: Very little rock...
