Re: Least active, best edging boot/binding combo?

Scott Excursions or Scarpa T4's with a used pair of G3 Targas. The Voile Switchback (straight up, NOT THE X2) is pretty neutral with good edging too and the free pivot. I really don't know what I'm talking about and I'm not sure how much out of the loop you are. I'm also a bit confused, does it have...

Re: skiing is good for your mental health

Skiing is the only time anything makes perfect, whole, real sense and also I feel like I can completely express myself, even if the people I'm skiing with don't necessarily see this expression. It's in the feeeeeel. Especially today when it's hot. I don't do hot. So yes, I agree wholeheartedly. Good...

Re: Rottefella Super Tele WITH STRAP

This is really interesting... does the strap go over the top of the bellows or is it long enough to send back around the heel? I imagine a low stretch strap is paramount. I am intrigued.

Re: Voile comparison-contrast

Answers IN ALL CAPS Just read the other thread on the Switchback vs. the Switchback x2. What are the performance differences between the Voile Telemark bindings? 1) 3-pin cable/traverse (3PC) 2) 3-pin hardwire (3PH) 3) Switchback (SB) 4) Switchback x2 (SBX2) I have personal experience with the 3-pin...

Re: Mounting 3-pin bindings to Voile Objective skis

Re-reading the OP post... a couple of CM back makes them float a bit better in deep pow, and they'll be a bit faster too with the scales. I still think if you've got less than 28 mondo boots to go with recommended.

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Check this picture out: 20180527_102332.jpg The right ski has the binding at my 30.5 boot and they mate nice, no problems. The left ski has the rods all the way in, as if it was for a very short boot, and they don't come close to being able to work. The metal connecting piece between the cartridges ...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2

Caveat: The angle of the dangle on the steel rebar heelpiece that connects the cartridges may not meet the angle of the rods coming out of the toepiece for people with small feet. Keep this in mind. I am a mondo 30.5 and it works well because there's enough play, a much smaller foot may not have th...
