Re: DIY pattern base

Yes. Thanks.
But going negative was a key goal - to reduce stickiness in the telemark lead change.

And they would constitute a positive pattern?

Re: DIY pattern base

Thanks.

Should also say there's a choice about how close to the edge you put the pattern.

Closer for herringbone & upwards traverse, further away for telemarking.

Re: NTN newbie, should I get the Meidjo 2.1 or Outlaw X ?

Just for info ...
Outlaw X can go on Telebry Safeout release plates as it shares the Axl hole pattern. Just add a shim under the duckbutt clamp.
This gives you all-angle DIN release.

Thanks, and thanks for the tip.

Re: DIY pattern base

Thanks for the feedback folks. Happy to be able to contribute to this arcane art. Set myself up as a fishy expert? I'm Down Under and our season going swimmingly ;-) It's been pleasing to see how well this DIY pattern works in a range of conditions - though our snow is generally wet and heavy at tim...

DIY pattern base

I'm not a fan of most factory pattern bases - they're too aggressive for my use, which is a mix of lift-serviced telemark and side-country tele and touring. So I got some Voile V6 'waxing' skis and cut my own. Folk have used a dremel. I decided on a router bit to mimic the base done by a semi-pro he...

Re: Crispi EVO WC nonsense/frustrations

Can only suggest you play around with various combinations of strap tension.

If that doesn't help remold the liners or get a pro to do it.
