Re: Paging Tom M. With a question

I think limiting yourself to waxless skis is the limiting factor. I wouldn’t consider an air core Fischer ski. I think the Objective is a bit wide, I think tracking on hard snow is important. While I’m a flat lander from Michigan I have skied ungroomed wild Alpine terrain in several states over the ...

Re: Åsnes Gamme

riel its because Gamme are fast! This is a serious problem when you require a rock ski to take Gamme’s place. Gamme sets the bar high, however I know how fast I “should” be going. I am now on my 3rd rock ski since I have been skiing on Gamme. However I have snow, and despite being immediately mount...

Re: How Many Pairs of Skis Per Tin/Can/45g Kick Wax?

I have another non-answer, answer. However I do believe Musk Ox is on the right track. I need to order my kick wax, as where I live in Michigan our snow culture is the snowmobile. I was ordering kick wax from a northern Michigan store, but I have found another in Minnesota with a much larger selecti...

Re: Dog Questions

Just ordered the Finnmark 190cm from Neptune because my old dog (10 yrs come March) is an old dog and can't be taught new tricks and I plan on getting a puppy maybe this coming year. Figure this is good for training a new pup so if I do hit hin it's a learning experience and not a disaster. Good ch...

Re: Dog Questions

For what it's worth, my ski buddy's dog got its rear leg run over by another ski buddy on a downhill run and severed its tendons. The dog was fond of running downhill and cutting skiers off. was Cutting tendons is what scares me. I’ve had a few beagles cut pads pretty deep all on their own. So I’m ...

Re: Redearth Creek to Shadow Lake

Smitty, sounds like a nice trip in beautiful country. It’s also nice to know that there are others out there that are built more like working men than marathon runners.
Absolutely beautiful than you for sharing

Re: Dog Questions

I ran beagles on rabbit and hare for many years. I never had an issue with feet in regards to snow. Now in breakable icy crust I did notice some bloody red testicles on my best male. It didn’t slow him down, and he bred several females successfully. My current dog knows the command “watch out”. Howe...

Re: Sbounds...leathers

Sounds like Teleknob is prime right now. With the cold weather it should ski really good as long as the weather lasts. I have cold and snow in Michigan, and will be close to home and skiing this weekend.
