Re: Final selection for my first XCD kit: Åsnes Combat vs. Madshus Eon (Wax/Waxless)

http://www.telemarkdown.com/store/boots/crispi-antarcticleather/ If you want to go three pin have you considered the Crispi Antarctic? I have heard Telemark Down is a good dealer. I ski a heavier leather boot with my FT, and I am not converting my FT to NNN. I do ski an Alaska in NNN, and in that pa...

Re: Final selection for my first XCD kit: Åsnes Combat vs. Madshus Eon (Wax/Waxless)

Hello, I have never skied the Alaska 3-pin boot, but I have seen a video torquing the Alaska 3-pin and the Alaska NNN side by side. The NNN version was a much more rigid connection. The Alaska NNN is also my first NNN boot. I have a T-4 and an Alico Ski March boot in 3 pin configuration, I enjoy thr...

Hi any idea on what MSRP USA pricing is for the Rabb or Falketind, I am 5'5 ish 160lbs was thinking the 172's I have excursion 88's 179. Running NNNBC and Alpina Alaska - love the combo, Cheers Marlow Marlow, The Falketind has more rocker than the E-88. It is also less cambered. It will be shorter ...

Re: Gear Basket

Woods, that is a great price on the FT 62. Teleman, the price that Woods posted above is a really good price. If it's beyond your budget, maybe you could find a pair of those Fischer 88's guys were posting end of the season last year? They were getting them I 199 or 200cm. Not exactly the same, but ...

...but not the weird wide legged power stance which, while effective, looks brutalist and doesn't flow. It's devoid of soul, it lacks expression, it lacks of art. Racing ruins the breed. This season, I'm going to focus on making my skiing more beautiful, more flow, more dance, more love, more sex. ...

Re: When skiing was beautiful, an art, an expression of self..

Great postcard -- the good news, of course, is that skiing is still beautiful, still an art, and still an expression of self, but it just doesn't often make postcards or the covers of ski magazines these days. It really is up to the individual to see the art in the sport, whether it is on kick-and-...

Re: Dropping a Knee Down South

You're in trouble now. Next thing you'll be on T4's and Voile Vectors!!! Lol
Thank you for sharing. I imagine it could be very difficult linking turns on gear better suited to cross country racing. It is a testament to the ability of high level cross country ski racers, to pull it off so well.

Re: Looking for some advice as a new XCD skier

Zgadow, I bought a Discovery 80 for my son several years ago. It isn't a bad ski, it is soft, and forgiving. However my educated guess is that half your weight will compress the underfoot flat in a 189. If I remember correctly that ski was available in a ski around 200 cm, which would be the correct...

Re: another ski recommendation post...

I also agree with a bigger Ski in Tahoe. Tahoe gets deep snowfalls and the the spacing of trees just offers so much downhill skiing. I have an FAlketind 62, but it would get kicked around in challenging snow. You really need two kits in Tahoe if one is going to be a go fast trail ski. I say on this ...
