Re: NNN-BC versus Pins: Just the facts

I am waiting for snow, flexing my first NNN boot in the comfort of my living room. It might be a year or two before I would even be able to provide comedy relief in a Bri-7 / Johnny video. I am very happy there are both options, however I will admit it would be very nice to not feel the need for mor...

Re: XCD north of Quebec City

Rod, I enjoyed the photos however I took Spanish in high school and it has proven to be quite useful here south of the border. However I do believe Ben tells that you write beautiful stories. In my mind looking at the photos, I'm sure it was quite a good day.

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

Johnny, Brother, thank you for posting. The opening ceremony of the Lillehammer Olympic is why I Telemark. Maybe why I ski. I was very interested in Telemark before I turned on the TV that night. Watching what I still consider that greatest televised celebration of winter, my path was set to ski wi...

Re: NNN-BC on-piste?

Al, I think I have experienced basically all you have written. That being said, while I have been quite comfortable with a stiff leather boot on piste, I am not sure I could ski steeper blue / black runs in a boot as soft as an Alaska. Even on a Ski only 62 mm underfoot like my FT 62. That particula...

Re: Nordic Backcountry Setup for Novice Skier

Hello, I have been following since your original post. I also followed your link. After waiting and thoughtfully reading the responses I will offer an opinion. Firstly I am going to assume, that since you split board you can survival turn two planks as well as being comfortable gliding on two planks...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

I am pleased that your enjoyed your ski. I also believe these skis will handle soft snow well too. I was very nervous when I first handled the FT 62, and I really like them, but I am still cautious to recommend them. I have not been on the Gamme, but am very confident it is everything I hope it will...
