Re: Faber S-Line

These are the shoes I have: http://snowshoesalesandrepairs.com/?action=products They are made in Northern Ontario, laced with heavy monofilament fishing line. Mine are twenty years old, but I had to get rid of my beagles in 2009. I spent half of the next three years working far from home. I spent ab...

Re: Gear Basket

Mine come Saturday, I will be north, sliding on rental snow with my son. I will try on my new 45's Sunday when I get home. If they fit, they may be going back to Colorado. Well, if they don't fit they will going back to Colorado too!
I guess I will see what happens on Sunday.
Cheers,

Re: Gear Basket

I'm just going to tell myself it was better to pay full retail and break them into my feet and my feet only. After all, I had a wise man once answered a post of mine with, " It is not hygienic to ski in somebody else's tracks".

Re: Another "help me gear up" thread

I have a pair of new, stock, universal bindings that were made to pair with the USGI Asnes Combat skis. The holes line up, it is a decent binding. If interested I would be willing to part with them. If interested I will post a photo

Re: The Ultimate XCD Boot: The new Alpina Watermelon DOUBLE!

Johnny,
Very nicely done, a great idea. Now that you guys have gotten me to order NNN boots, maybe Super Watermelons are in my future too? To me, it seems way more likely than NNN ever seemed 5 years ago ;)

Re: Faster Backcountry Trail Ski

Ben, it is Monday night 8:00 PM, I just read your post from last night. If I had read it an hour earlier i probably would not have any skis on order. I don't remember mulling over a ski buying decision like I did this one. I ordered a Gamme 54 earlier tonight from Neptune after work tonight. Canna w...

Ben,
I would appreciate that. It should be pretty easy to figure out length from that measurement.
Thank you,
Bob

Re: Alpina Alaska NNNBC

I am a size 11 US, my T-4's are 28.5. Not that it matters, but my Alico Ski March are 10 UK. I have no Euro size boots. Some charts say 44, others 45 for the Alaska. Any opinions are appreciated.
Thank you

Re: Åsnes Gamme

Perhaps the best quiver would be a Gamme 54 and a FT68- as opposed to a Gamme 54 and an Ingstad... Thanks for the excellent information Pete! Gareth[/quote] Gareth, you're killing me! I can't afford 2 sets of new skis! Well, I bought my son new alpine boots, skis, and bindings. I do believe if I wer...

Re: Faster Backcountry Trail Ski

Dell, thanks for posting, and thanks for a positive response regarding scales. I'm not sure I want to go that way, but I appreciate solid advice. BTW, I have been looking for your review of the Glittertind, any help finding it would be appreciated.
