Re: Brilliant Telemark Event - 12 - 24 Jan 2019 France

Edward, Or your brother can read here: https://www.awsa.org.uk/telemark/ And scroll down to Ex Telemark Titan 2019 under regulations. There are 3 documents - the DIN is the most important bit. Please contact me for any clarification - it is all a little military speak and not a bit like a holiday br...

Meidjo 2.1 - Riser Spacer

Looking at replacing my Rottefella Freedom bindings with Meidjo 2.1.
Don't have a Riser spacer at the moment and wondered whether Meidjo would benefit??

Brilliant Telemark Event - 12 - 24 Jan 2019 France

I guess many are thinking about next winter. So I thought I'd let all telemarkers, and anyone thinking of giving it a go, know/remind about the GB Telemark Training and National Championships. The event is formally known as Exercise Telemark Titan 2019 and is run by the Army Telemark Ski Association...

Re: Meidjo NTN 2.0 review/warning

All very interesting. I moved Rottefella Freedom last November and found that on both old skis, the rear screws had all disappeared. Have no idea when they fell out!

If you want good leather, Ebay UK is selling Alico military spec boots for under £20. Even with shipping, it will probably be max $100 CDN. Several here have bought them.

UK Army Exercise Telemark Titan 2018

Hello all Telemarkers - and putative Telemarkers. Apologies for a long post! Hopefully worth reading, especially for those based in GB. I am recently back from the UK Army Winter Sports Association event Exercise Telemark Titan 2018. It is an amazing 11 day combination of telemark instruction and ra...

Re: NTN: Rottefella Freeride versus 22 Designs Outlaw Review

Interesting review. Never skied the Outlaws, hope to try this season. I have Freeride on Kneissl Red Star RC 178cm piste skis which I use for piste instruction (receiving !), training and GS racing. And Freedom on Salomon Q98 180cm all mountain skis. Don't tour with the Freeride, so tour mode is tap...

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN 2017 vs 2018

Thanks. Scott have finally confirmed that the boot is the same apart from the removal of the heel technical insert. Anyway, what is the verdict on boot life? My blue /green Voodoo have done 50 weeks and the liners are getting well compressed. But what about the shell? Physically in OK condition but ...

Re: Tele vs parallel.

In UK we call mono turns "snurfing" ! Great balance training, especially down a GS course. As a late convert to tele from alpine, I use alpine turns mainly when my legs are tired. The tele skiing sensation is just too good to miss! Last winter did a lot of work on bumps and now great doing...
