Re: Another new Rotte binding

I flushed the toilet and it swirled clockwise, so I guess the answer is no.

Re: Another new Rotte binding

Thanks for the info on boot width Ben. The springs are easy to take on and off on the work bench, about as easy as the Hardwire springs that I switch between my TTS set-ups. However, I don’t think I will take the Rotte springs off on a ski trip as I have the 10mm Traverse riser so they can just sit ...

Re: Another new Rotte binding

Just an update. I finally mounted them up. The adjustment problem was because I didn’t remove the spring unit, but tried to spin the spring barrels in place to adjust length. They do detach Cannatonic to answer your question. Here are a couple of photos of the finished set-up. Sorry they’re upside d...

Re: garmont tele parts?

Another good option, and cheaper than Booster Straps, is the good old Voile strap. You'll need a 21 inch plus or minus.

Re: Another new Rotte binding

I think the cables may be removeable, Cannatonic, as they are similar to the Voiles- ie. an open loop. I haven’t tried to take them off though. I mounted them on the Traverse risers, then put my Alico Ski March boot in the binding and it was clear I would have to shorten the rods to grip the boot pr...

Re: 22D Lynx inbounds?

I’ve looked at the Lynx and there seem to be some niggly issues, mainly discussed on Earn Your Turns forum. The deal breaker for me is the potential releasibilty. That’s why I will stick with the Meidjo, the duck butt clamp is spring loaded and adjustable, as well as being independent of spring pres...

Re: Another new Rotte binding

My bindings arrived today from Telemark Pyrenees. First off they are exactly like the original illustration. I guess they had to call them “cable” bindings, since Voile had “Hardwire” sewn up :D B26AC727-B8C3-4670-B0E7-6CE0B5CCA946.jpeg I’m mounting them tomorrow on Voile Traverse risers, both for t...

Re: Karhu Guide / Madshus Annum + NNN BC ?!

Thank you Lo-fi for your responses, with the accompanying videos. It really makes the point way much better than a thousand words. My take away from that is, for relaxed tree skiing, Excursion/Kom is the ticket but the Alaska/Guide/Annum combo may be better for a rolly/polly trek. Correct me if I'm ...

Re: Help Me Learn How to Turn...

Quote :We tended to keep one simple principle in the forefront, i.e. try to be bold when driving your ski forward to initiate the turn (NOT passively ruddering into your turns with rear ski initiation) Martin, I'm not sure if you are questioning the "step back into the turn" I posted about earlier. ...
