Well - a pretty wide range of opinion there, like almost 30mm wide! I tend to agree about some width underfoot, but I`ve never had a ski as wide as the Objectives. If you want fail-safe binding repair that will hold unless the ski breaks in half: machine screws and t-nuts. Ski will be trashed but the binding is not coming off unless the ski breaks!

funny you should mention that, because if were to go NNN-BC, that double boot idea is probably what I'd do. My thing is week-long tours, and I never got more than two days worth of dry boots back when I had leather. I am totally spoiled by plastic boots with thermofit liners for snow camping. a week...
