Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Beauty! Glad you've been able to get some skiing in so early in the season!

Rain last night in northeast Alberta. Killed the 3 cm of snow that we did have. Bummer.

Re: My Old Wood Skis

My God, what a gem of a song. I tarred up my first pair of woodies last season, I'll be signing this while through the bush as soon as we get some more snow up here.

Re: Mounting inserts for both tele and AT bindings on the same ski?

Bear in mind that this is not something I have personal experience with, and it's not in my area of experience. But from what I have read, a binding rig that would check all of your long-term boxes is the Meidjo from The M Equipment. They are a tech-toe telemark binding, and they make an optional AT...

Re: Alico Ski March Boot

The only thing that could ruin that is if your foot does not fill the boot's volume. Then that sweet supportive leather would become the pinch point of death. I've got short, wide, but relatively low volume feet. I guess you'd say my foot depth is low? So in hiking boots I'd buy supple leather boot...

Re: Elan Ripstick 86

Thanks for the feedback buddy, that's great to know! And I really appreciate the note on the lengths! I could see the Elans were much shorter than the K2s sitting next to them on the rack but I didn't have a tape with me. The comparison to the Vantages gives great perspective. I'll go see Ed this we...

Elan Ripstick 86

I'm having a blast trying to learn telemark at my local ski hill! I come from snowboarding on the lift serve, so I picked up a ratty pair of early 2000's Rossignol Carves equipped with a solid set of Hardwires on the cheap. The skis were perfect for getting an initial feel and helped solidify my dec...

Re: ALFA Quest Dynamic / Kikut Perform GTX NNN-BC Ski Boot Review

Well, it was a bummer that the Perform sole delaminated in the first place. Then I contacted the retailer with pictures and description - still no response at all. I didn't expect much, but I must admit I was disappointed with not even receiving a "that's a shame, but unfortunately we can't do anyth...
