Chili’s Adjustment Screw Loosening

My Chilis are fine but the adjustment screw by the spring keeps loosening. I’ve got a couple of ideas to remedy this: 1) drop of blue thread lock; 2) thread on a second nut (if I can find one with the correct threads) and snug them up. But I wondered if anybody else has had this problem and what rem...

Re: How wrong is my ski/binding/boot setup

I know just what you mean about the straight boards we used to try and muscle around the turns! I think you’ve received some good advice. Those boots just aren’t tele boots and certainly not with that setup. Garment Excusions, Scarpa T4s and some others would be great. You don’t need a big mountain ...

Re: Where Are You Planning to Travel for Skiing This Winter?

Your trip sounds great. I’d never heard of the mid-west Telefest - or Porcupine Mountains. Looks like a fun time. We’re kinda spoiled around here since there’s nothing but mountains. The Kokanee Glacier cabin is maybe 50 km as the crow flies from the Ymir Lodge so I’m not surprised my description re...

NN Alaska Boots men’s 8.5

Just saw these on MEC gear swap. I have no connection to them or the seller but thought someone on here might be interested.

Re: Best All around gears.

Well, of course, there are releasing NN Bindings available: 31C7BD68-6460-4A0E-BE29-1483183ED901.jpeg Now, those are out of production but can still be picked up occasionally. And there are others if you google. I’m not saying these would suit your needs but may be worth looking into if you want a r...

Hey lilcliffy
I felt burned when you referred to ‘lies’. But I don’t hold a grudge. It’s cool you apologized. We all feel strongly about our skiing. Let’s get out there and carve some snow!

Re: NNN-BC versus Pins: Just the facts

Okay. So forgive me- this may take me quite a few words to articulate my thoughts on this… The first point I want to make is that Johnny is speaking exclusively about “Cross-Country Shoes”. Any comment he makes about “XCD” purely refers to downhill skiing with cross-country shoes and bindings. He i...

Re: NNN-BC versus Pins: Just the facts

Yep, it's a matter of choice. But I can't believe people are still buying heavy and bulky 7lbs boots while they can buy 725g NNN-BC boots that offers A HELL OF A LOT more control than pins for downhill skiing on steep terrain and a much smoother XC experience at the same time. And for half the weig...
