Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

I can't speak for Crister but it may be because it is the only light weight 75mm binding with a cable still in production, that I know of. It tours great w/o the heel throws on and is surprisingly capable for the downhill. I used a 3p cable mounted on HW risers on vectors this year and they were mor...

Re: Randonee (AT) vs Telemarking?

If you are in it as much for the hiking (touring) as the downhill you can go with telemark gear and do P turns and you won't have to learn new skills right off the bat.

Yes it was, but it lacked a smooth flex and the tails were not supportive enough. The UV fixed the problems but otherwise skis the same.

Re: Really New Skis

While I certainly see people skidding and sliding around on powder skis on consolidated snow- I personally don't get it. To each their own, but I personally want a ski that will charge and hold an edge on hardpack- I would think that I would "prefer" the UV over the V6 on hardpack- though I much pr...

Re: Really New Skis

I'd like to hear what Woods has to say, but I think the Hypers will be more versatile.

Re: Really New Skis

I picked up a set of 184 hyper vectors last August. I really enjoyed them for the season. I have them mounted by Voile with HW and running T2 ecos. Scales climb extremely well. I only had to use my skins a few times this season. Kick and glide is great and fairly easy to tele on soft snow. My only ...

Re: Paddling Biking Fishing Gardening

It looks like your summer season is off to a good start Fish, keep it up. I just took a three day trip looking for rainbows. It was a great trip even though the fishing was slow.
