Detuning rocker ski

Do you guys detune your edges from contact point, with skis pressed down on each other? Or not?

I bought a new ski and it has a timid but long rocker (contact point is a little over 14" from the tip for a 163 size ski).

Not sure I want to detune all of it...

Re: Scarpa T3 (??) Foamy material in shell under heel?

These are the old blue T2... not T3. If the rubber puck under your heel is too brittle, you could change it; I would make my own. You could *probably* find some new parts from Scarpa that would need to be fitted (not exactly sure).

Re: New article on XCD in french

Thanks guys (Roelant & Woods)... Yeah, I've seen the video from Régis talking about the new version of M62, M68, M78 for next year... I am a little sad about their choice — scales instead of wax. I think the M55 will stay the same, pfiou!

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system

On a skate, note the push button release of the toe bumper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzwcwZ1sN8o&ab_channel=HenrikHugnell Question for someone more in the know ... are the arms of the toe piece metal or plastic? I see a seam in the binding there, but cannot distinguish if it's a matte finish ...

Re: How important is ski weight to xcd skiing?

There is also something important to consider; swing weight... that's why Rossi (oh no! not them...) change their tips and tails for composite gruyere cheese... to reduce swing weight, which is more tiring... whatever.

Re: Morrow liners in Excursions? Anyone tried 'em?

Bgreg, the question is, basically, how the fit with the Morrow's compares with the git with the original liners. I know the Intuition's are a higher quality, and offer more options, but the price difference, as you say, is an issue for me. Fit is a very personal question. I can say that I could nev...

Rodbelan, do you mean the fit is a little more snug with the Morrow's? If so, that would work well for me.

Yes...
