Re: Switchback X2, BD 01 & BMD Spike comparison

I think the 01 is more powerful because the toe piece is a little sturdier. I use to have a pair of 02 but never did a side to side comparison...

I think you would love the Spike even if the walk mode is somewhat mediocre... or less efficient than the others...

Re: Seeking Advice on NTN

Like DNT said... Outlaw would fit the bill (never tried them but heard lots and lots of good comments) ... If you are tempted by Freeride or Freedom, try them first. They aren't everybody's cup of tea. I tried them 3 or 4 times; not to my liking; they are Ok but they miss fluidity...). For me, next ...

Switchback X2, BD 01 & BMD Spike comparison

I checked these ones on the same ski (same hole pattern with inserts). K2 Wayback. The 3 of em ski pretty nicely. The X2 feels «softer» than the other ones; it engages more slowly but surely. BD 01 & Spike engage quicker; they feel more active (hard to do a scientific comparison, since it also depen...

Re: Rossignol BC X-12 Boots, My Review

I must say that I do not (respectably) agree... I use to own a pair like that. In my views these aren't very good boots. The fit is weird — unless you have that rare foot that get along with them... That is pretty consistent with what I heard from friends too. They aren't very solid, I mean they are...

Re: T4s for women

I have a pair of Silver T3 and they feel more snug than my T4 (same shell size)... I'll have to check more closely.

You could also use a higher volume thermo liner like the Morrow we always see in eBay, etc in a T4. I have a pair of 8 (Woman size) and they are really snug, for slim feet only.

Re: Favorite Ski Meets Favorite Binding

Well Al, what you are saying is in line with what Lo-Fi showed us in a video... He explained that he prefers no pin cables too for the ease it provides. He uses a similar binding: no pin hardwire, loosely adjusted... Seing this, I thought I would use my Superloop for yo-yoing... And it worked! The S...

Re: Tele fail

Was it the old Dickie, in all his wisdom, saying something about «adapting our speed in trees to the point that it is comfortable to hit one» (not an exact quote). I wear a helmet too inbound, but not in BC. That is my preference. I am trying to mange the risk. Even if you wear a helmet, you need to...
