Re: Who's skied BMD Spike Bulldogs?

Something I forgot to tell you; you might want to change pivot location if you ski inbound or backcountry. In the BC, I like the further front holes; inbound, I would prefer the 2sd or 3rd. Why? Because, once you skins up a trail (with that touring pivot relatively in front of toes), and after you c...

Re: Sbounds...leathers

T-wheels and I tracked out the steep north face Sunday. No photos; but here are top of the single chair; mad river; on Friday; and Floodwood NY camp on Thursday. Excellant dry powder at both. It was 95 degrees warmer in the keys when I got back this afternoon. Wow man... I would like to ski place a...

Re: Voile 3pin (mountaineers) + Madshus Annum

Basically, what they are saying is: mount pin line on chord center... And they provide a way to adapt to shoe size as well. I would say: mount them pin line on chord center. Do not bother with shoe size, unless you wear size 15 or 4... You need to measure the ski from tail to tip with full tension o...

Black Pearl 88 is awesome; it also fits well with what you are looking for... Very good compromise fro frontside, slackcountry, off-piste. Of course Colorado has lots of snow...

Re: Hydration

You are right Ben; going out for a few days is another thing. But I was just reacting to the new injonction about drinking water all the time, even for an afternoon outing. Some suggest 1,5 liters for an half an hour walking... more if the activity is more intense...https://sipwell.com/fr/blog/boire...

Re: Crispi Pro Comp Telemark Boot

Of course, they are in good shape... but 125$ for a boot that is almost 30 years old... Hum, not sure. But sometimes, we need to find out by ourselves. I did it last year (the boot was new and really cheap, like 35 $ US); it was far from my best buy. Good thing about them is they're comfy. The downs...

Re: Crispi Pro Comp Telemark Boot

How much are they going for? That's the ultimate question... If they are cheap, go for it! I bought a pair of Alpina Telelite last year (similar)... They were great until they broke apart. But these are better quality (norwegian welt).

Re: Frankenbindings

There is also another simple solution for having you cables out of the way without removing them: 25231.jpg Voile use to make them; you snap them underneath the lip of the heel piece. I use that system on one of my ski for years; great! They are probably easy to make out of HDPE or with a 3d printer...
