Re: Faster Backcountry Trail Ski

I just endorsed the 210cm Gamme 54 for fisheater also, I said 200's would be too short for his weight. Amundsen, yikes, just remember there are no trees in Antarctica! Just straight lines. I had a old pair of Asnes/Merrell "super comps", Johnny got them too, same profile as Amundsen and I ...

Re: The Ultimate XCD Boot: The new Alpina Watermelon DOUBLE!

Looks like Alico Doubles are only $300 these days, definitely heavy weights but good if they fit you. Alfa still makes their 3-pin expedition boot, very expensive. I don't see any NNNBC boots made over size 48, am I missing something? uh-oh - I just checked the Andrew Shoes website - no more telemar...

Re: The Åsnes Thread

fishscale option is a great development! There goes the last reason to have any remaining interest in Fischer. Waxless Ingstad would be aimed directly at my Sbound 78's, would be a fun comparison. It looks like the Asnes scale zone is much smaller, hopefully will be a faster glider than the plastic ...

Re: The Rockpile last week- pics

wow, from the Alps to the Whites, I"m totally jealous, looks like a great day, your stance looks perfect. I guess we can't avoid 80 degree days in spring anymore, will have to learn to like the runnels & stuff. It's not New England backcountry without a good 'schwack! it's always seems like...
