Re: boot and glove electric heaters
It's probably the first thing you did, but have you tried baby powder? It can make a big difference...

Longest adjustable poles?
Do you guys know if they make adjustable poles longer than 155cm? I can't find anything anywhere... I'm 6 feet something and I could really use some like 20cm more when going uphill... My skis float but the poles go all the way down through that fluff... And I'm not sure I wanna bring XC poles every...

Re: Books books books!
XCD skis: Doesn't matter, as long as it's under 109mm... : ) I ski everyday. If I'm not first tracks, I go elsewhere until I find fresh snow. Life's too short to ski crud... I leave that to week-enders. You are right about some old bad leathers, some of them are so stiff they just hurt. But I think ...

Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread
Freshpow, I was lucky enough to find a brand new pair on Ebay for 100$. Of course they were the wrong size but at less than half the price, it was worth taking a chance... I never saw those boots in any stores around. People are all buying NTN these days so there's no point for stores to carry Alask...

Re: Books books books!
Oh, you're a double heretic-heretic! :D I had pairs of both T4s and Excursions last year. Tried them a few times and sold them a week after, going back to my good old Asolos leathers. Oh I was better to the eye of the normal tele skier. I had much more control, I was way faster and I could link way ...

Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread
Cooool! Now that's real skiing... Real snow, real glades! I'm so jealous....! I wonder why I'm still stuck in the worst place on the planet for skiing even if skiing is all my life. Oh I know why, just because it's the only place in the world I can afford to ski everyday without having a day job... ...

Another day, another hill... (Sorry I don't have any cool pics of me doing nice tricks... I'm always by myself since my ski buddies are always too busy doing that thing they call "Work"...) IMG_0377.JPG Going up... IMG_0375.JPG Hummm...! Canadian architecture! IMG_0380.JPG Bad view from th...

Re: Books books books!
Heretics are cool. I am a ski and music and girls and 'life-in-general' heretic myself. People (and their ideas) are stupid most the time. That's for sure. But to me, XCD is very simple: it's free. You're free to do whatever you want as long as you stay in the woods. It only implies love, respect an...
