Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

25 years ago, "XCD" was a very hip keyword that could sell pretty much any product. It wouldn't be wise to use it today. But anything labeled "Alpine Touring" can be sold to anyone (with or without ski knowledge) at any price... Rod, the NOSIs and their 18m radius are awesome. But you know, I have b...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

But, I'm just saying Asnes is not advertizing the Nosi as a downhill capable cross-country ski but rather as a top touring ski, so an alpine backcountry ski or NEARLY whatever you want to call that. Alpine touring. They call it Alpine Touring skis in English. (A not trendy anymore expression meanin...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

There is a misinterpretation here; maybe I wasn't clear enough... I meant to say that a BC ski, in order to turn, doesn't need 16m of radius. We see short radius in Alpine skis dedicated to the resort. It is quite different in the BC... Wait, what gave you the idea that the NOSI was intended as a "...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

and I was thinking that they had a little too much sidecut (Nosi). Why is that so? Not much needed in the BC... And the tracking tend to suffer. Because just like all other skis in this category, the NOSI is a ski made for cross-country DOWNHILL. There will always be a compromise... If tracking is ...

Re: Falketind 62 Review

Other than terrible GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) Why would one need both the FT62 and the Rabb 68? Because! http://telemarktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2453 if your desire for more cannot be contained beyond 2-3 pair, you've got GAS. I think GAS is related to percentage. Asnes currently has lik...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

Anyone skiing the Nosi 76 with BC NNN? The NOSI combined with NNN-BC is simply the #2 best powder tool you can find on the planet. The #1 would be a waxless version of the NOSI... Think of the Karhu Guide but with an added 20 years of tech evolution... ... And the Nosi would be a 75mm binding for 9...

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review

My only gripe are the laces, which could be easily swapped. They abrade bare hands when trying to lace up tight! Ahahahah! SO funny!!! I almost forgot about it... I had bloody hands for a whole week when I first got the Guards... Really! It took me a few days to realize it was coming from the laces...

Re: Nnnbc magnum bindings on wide skis???

3 pins or SNS... there is the seed for a new debate... is it sane to mount SNS on 220 cm old E99? Don’t know if it’s sane but sure is fun on the crust 8-) Wait... Like this? So I have SNS bindings on my old 215cm Europas too, it is insane?!? Martin, are you dissing my way of skiing and my ski choic...

Re: Nnnbc magnum bindings on wide skis???

Wow, show me a quote where I dissed other peoples way of skiing. Hummm... I would say... Your last 5 posts? You must be a pretty unimaginative skier I bet my skis have a lighter touch on the snow than yours Maybe the reason you aren't getting the feel with heavy gear is that you aren't skiing it wi...
