Re: New Boots/Different BSL - Does Binding need remounted?

Well... the heel should have a longer rectangular bung with a cut-out on one end. I screwdriver carefully used to pry it out works. If it's another heel piece with the two small round bungs I take a sharp pick or hook tool and stab the circle and pry it out. When I re-install I rub some glue into th...

3.6 vs 4.1 drill bit

I have usually been mounting my skis with a 3.6 drillbit but I have a pair of skis with 4.1 written on the topsheet next to the drill icon. 3.6 works well with the Voile bindings I use, but I think I should defer to the ski manufacturer? There is not metal in the ski. Thoughts? I don't have a 4.1 I'...

Re: Anyone try the new Alaska Heat boot?

I eat lots of fat and it doesn't help me, I lost weight this year, down to 150lb now stretched over 6'2".

HOWEVER, I have never been cold in my Alaskas.

The heating element aspect would drive me nuts on many levels, I think.

I just need to not be lazy and walk up to the garage for the chisel instead of reaching for the dumb-dumb box-cutter

Re: My Dragons bit me. Dilemma!

Well, one of the Dragons has barely any camber left compared to the other one. A dead ski, I would say, or almost dead. I have the other pair, I guess I'm going to unmount those and use them instead, no sense in skiing a dead ski around when there's a perfectly useable second pair. I split my thumb ...

Re: My Dragons bit me. Dilemma!

They have as much soul as the skier attributes to them! My skis are intergalactic universe transporters, vehicles of the sublime, animals that speed my soul into an unknown future! When the skis talk, I listen. And you're right. They are dragons, they need to have a sword waved in their face once an...

My Dragons bit me. Dilemma!

Today I started to bring life back into skis I long thought retired... my Line Ostness Dragons from 1999. 110-76-100, 193cm. I loved these skis. I loved them so much I have two pairs. My first pair I retired after 100 days of skiing on them. Stuck my first 360 on these skis. I still remember that mo...

Re: Ski Movies

I can't translate the voiceover but the boxes say this, according to Teh Googles Fridtjof Nansen is 22 years old and ready to attend the Husebyrennet in Kristiania. Despite several warnings and bad reports, he plans to go skiing across the mountain from Voss to Ostlandet. After 133 years later, 10 s...

Re: Spring in October

The corn in the vids looks awesome and prime! Did you cut your buddy out of the club, or at least restrict his access to malty beverages after?

Thanks for posting, tres interesting!
