Re: help with mounting bindings on fischer sbound.

Boot centre on line marked on ski. Measure from pin hole to back of boot/2. If no centreline then tape across the ski and down around the edges in a few locations. Carefully trim along ski edge, unpeel tape from the sides and measure width of each trimmed piece. Mark centre of tape. PU glue to seal ...

Re: X2 vs 3 pin HW for XC

Well, I'm waiting with bated breath for my new Rottefella Cables to arrive. Telemark Pyrenees said they would have them by mid-month, so third week in January for me, based upon past performance. I've already mounted the Traverse shims on my new SBound 98's. I was always too scared in the past to mo...

Re: Cobbled down my Garmont Excursions

Like you Andy, I jumped on a pair of TX's when I heard they were being discontinued. Mainly because I could never get to love my TXPros, they felt like boat anchors after the succession of T2 variants I skied from the early 90's. I took my TXPros out for a ski today and, based upon discussions on EY...

Re: Madshus Eon Length question

Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up ordering the Traverse 78 for her, on sale, in the shortest length from Telemark Pyrenees with a pair of 50 mm short skins. This was thanks to Wood's comment about using the skins as a back up if the scales don't work. Plus, they will also be a back up to the ...

Madshus Eon Length question

I'm looking to replace my wife's XCd skis. She currently has the Rossi BC70 skis in a 170cm which she hates. She has problems engaging the grip pattern, which I attribute to the fact she is only 100 lbs. I was looking at the Madshus Eon for her in a 165 (the shortest length) but I'm not sure if she ...

Re: No video thread?

Thanks for posting that Mt. Baker video Ted. It was great to hear Bob’s voice and enthusiasm again. For those who haven’t heard of Telemon (Bob Wiebe), he was a long time ski partner of the Vancouver tele gang and prolific poster on the old Telemarktips. An all-around good guy, who sadly died in a f...

Re: Serial heelers film : "Back to the roots"

Sure it’s marketing, but that binding rocks. In addition, the Serial Heeler movies have great cinematic qualities, in my view. They get me stoked :D

Re: Another new Rotte binding

Woods, I’ve ordered a pair from Telemark Pyrénées and they emailed me yesterday to say they wouldn’t be available until mid December. So it looks like a short wait. Adventure Nordique also has them on their site but not yet available. I’m planning to mount them with Voile Traverse shims on my G3 Sti...

Another new Rotte binding

I was just checking Telemark Pyrenees for Black Friday bargains and stumbled on the Super Telemark Cable Binding. It's the ST toe piece and a removable Riva hardwire backend. I could find no reference to it on Rottefella's official site, which seems odd. Apparently it was released for the 19/20 seas...
