Re: How to tele: 3-pin only

Cables are quite nice at times going down, I still use the Voile 3-pin cable and just don't use the cables for the up, heck you'll forget them sometimes in the excitement to ski powder.

Re: Need ski recommendations - please!!

My wife is on the Pearl 88 and she's an intermediate, which is why I thought it might be too soft, she does love them. Was going to recommend the Head Kores but the women's model didn't rate as well as the men's.

Re: new ski advice

I keep coming back to the Head Kore skis, for a sidecountry ski especially the 105, so many options good luck. Currently still hiking with an old pair of Mantras, plenty of power but a tad heavy.

Re: Point a newbie in the right direction for telemark skiing

Freeheel life sell used equipment too. Woodchuck covered most of it out East start around 75mm underfoot out west around 85mm for groomers. I make a XC track and use my Volkl G2 skis 84mm with Voile 3-pin cables to set the track, otherwise those skis only see spring corn snow. The 3-pin cable works ...

Re: The crappiest conditions ever?

I have to say eastern Idaho was the friendliest place I’ve skied lift line. Teledance being a prime example. I had a lot of fun accounting tele skiers to come to our Telemark event at Pebble Creek, and introduced many to the backside and BC skiing. More powder days at Silver but the Rock is a skier...
