Re: Boot sizing - don't forget the instep!
Nope. Just to the sides. I was very surprised at my "high" foot.did you measure all the way around the heel?

Re: Boot sizing - don't forget the instep!
Appreciate that MikeK. Indeed they may fit better. Interesting that I've never really had a problem fitting anything before, even a plastic alpine boot. My problem isn't really wide feet but tall (not sure of the right term - high instep?). I suspect that the 29 T4 may be a better overall fit for me...

Boot sizing - don't forget the instep!
Continued from here ... In my attempt to purchase a plastic touring boot that fits my foot I've discovered there's more to sizing than length and width. Because of where I live I can't try them on. No one carries this niche stuff around here. So online it is. Looking at the Scarpa T4s, I measured my...

Re: All purpose backcountry/bushwack ski
Thanks guys. Good to know about Poubelleduski. And good point about new threads - this one is getting kind of broad. I did go for a test on the new BC125s today - using my old 3-pin boots. Wow, I see what you mean about needing a stiff boot. Twisted my boots like a braided rope. :D But the sk...

Re: All purpose backcountry/bushwack ski
Slide the foot forward until the toes just barely touch the shell, then measure how much room is behind the heel. 1-2cm is good... 1cm will be a snug performance fit, 2cm will be more comfortable. A good fit will also depend on foot volume. The liners will pack out with use, almost too tight fit no...

Re: All purpose backcountry/bushwack ski
I was able to try both boots on when I bought my T4s Do you recall the size difference in your case? Sorry if you already answered this... If a boot didn't feel right out of the box I'd return and try something else. Absolutely. I have no interest in getting anything stretched or new liners. For no...
