Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
Pin icing came to mind immediately for me. The pin movement will essentially be a pump so no matter how close the tolerance of pin to housing, environment will enter in the form of humid air at least. Probably quite a strong spring in there to alleviate. Beta testers out there this winter will confi...

Screen Shot 2021-01-11 at 09.16.17.png[/attachment Since these pins move in and out ... What do you mean exactly? The pins don't seem to move in and out... to me at least — but I am not sure. With the tight clearance apparent in this image probably grit won't get in there but humidity goes everywhere so I can imagine ice fo...

Re: Binding Screw Glue
I agree with Whiteout "a long-cited myth that epoxy resin melts or weakens foam" with an additional note. Some epoxy does incorporate some solvent to thin the resin and maybe to save costs. If using epoxy on skis (recommended for inserts for instance) make sure the epoxy is 100% solids.Label should ...

Re: Advice for telemark skis on hardpacck
If you are buying new certainly look for narrower and stiffer skis touted for resort or "all mountain" but the beautiful thing is that some tip and tail rocker give lots more pressure on a shorter section of the edge so much better ice hold than an older single camber resort ski. My only experience ...

Sharper edge is sure desirable but more prone to wear and damage.

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Exactly so. It's hard to imagine nicer cycling and xc skiing terrain. We now have track set trails minutes away at https://opeongonordic.com too. Having been logged for 150 years there are bush roads everywhere if you like breaking trail. Only thing is that it can be buggy at times. Indeed we name t...
