Re: Screw the leashes!
Haven't worn leashes in years, but I'm on 3-pin hardwire and never lost a ski. Fortunately no one checks at my ski hill.

Re: Volkl
I've mounted 3 pair of older Volkl G3 skis and 2 pair of older Mantras love them all, but they do like speed.

Re: How was your season?
Only 47 or so days but 99℅ powder skiing. Must be getting old, used to ski 70-80/season but pickier now, some sweet side country hikes, and I finally bought some fatties. They made it easier on my aging body to keep up with my alpine skiing ex powder guide buddy. Spring skiing was mostly a wash 2 da...

Re: Tele vs parallel.
Quiver of skis and a quiver of techniques make for a well rounded tele skier, practice my p-turns on the cat tracks and low angle groomers. Still made 5 pages of discussion. Thinking I need another ski day before summer, plenty of snow to be found.

Re: Tele vs parallel.
LAAl, you're probably right most of my old tele friends alpine now although many will still tele on occasion, still a few die-hards besides myself out there. Lift operated skiing for Memorial day weekend, yeah Silver.

Re: Tele vs parallel.
Knew an amazing monomark skier who was from N. ID skied with him at Pebble Creek. Guy loved air and his monomark stance, don't know where he is now.
Nice summation on slow speed tele turns Harris. One of these days we should hook up and ski MR or Allpental, unless you want to ski Silver.

Re: Tele vs parallel.
Not saying it's not worth the effort for learning or improving, but it does take more energy to make a Tele turn versus a P- turn, and if you've been pounding the Mtn well it's not worth it to genuflect the low angle on the way to the lift.

Re: Tele vs parallel.
Have to agree with Harris it gets below 25* and it's just not worth it to tele. Did have a 3' storm where I had to parallel sank to deep for tele turns. Now I have fatter skis and loved the ease of powder skiing this season.

Re: Hard wires or NTN? And what ski?
Based on your preferences, you might be best served skiing, both economically and skiing wise with the viole hardwire three pin and a volkl t rock type ski. You ski what lots of us ski it sounds like, and I have narrowed it down to this combo for my quiver of one...not sure what the modern and wome...
