Re: Full side zip pants?

Thanks Manney, but I want the full zip so I can put them on/off without removing my mondo 30 boots I’m really surprised OR, with their military contracts doesn’t have a full side zip option. Gareth, I love the pant you suggested… I want a full on pant that can take downhill and crampon abuse, will i...

Re: Full side zip pants?

The Arcteryx Beta pants have a full size zip, I believe. Look for the "Beta" pants, not the "Beta AR" which I have and love, but don't have full side zips. Thanks looking now. I usually don't look at Arc'teryx due to the sticker shock (don't even get me started on Stio) but these look not bad price...

Re: Full side zip pants?

I’m having a hell of a time finding shell, noninsulated pants that have full side zips. Goretex or equivalent generic is fine. I have a pair of Marmots I love but they stopped making them. I’ve found some that are insulated (Arctica, Descente) but I want shells. I often skin in my long johns and th...

Re: Outcast vs Meidjo, my thoughts with far too little experience

Hey Woods, I hope you keep posting your journey into NTN. I’ve been an observer for a few years now. I didn’t think I was interested, but I have recently decided I need to ride chairs more regularly. It’s just been too many years of not enough turns, I’m embarrassed by my skiing. So for now my heav...

Re: NNN-BC on Sherburne Ski Trail?

Totally possible. How often do you ski downhill on BC? If this is your first time then... You reap what you sow. (I see you have experience... Just rhetorically) I'd leave the alpine ski alone and mount a more appropriate ski that will be easier to maneuver with the binding and the boot. Something s...

Re: Icelantic Nomad 95 Review ... FUN

You know what dude? I love the Nomad 95 so much I just pulled the trigger on a pair of Nomad 105 for the POWPOW. I'll report back next winter! If one ski (the Icelantic Nomad 95) makes me so happy, it stands to chance the big brother (Nomad 105) in the same line will make me as happy, and I'm willi...

Re: Voile 3 Pin Cable Climbing Wire Compatibility

I just picked up a set of voile wires thinking they would just snap into the riser but it appears the riser actually needs to be removed and re-installed to do this. Can anyone confirm? Is there a graceful way to get the little screw caps out of the riser? Thanks! As Connyro said above If the screw...

Re: Outcast vs Meidjo, my thoughts with far too little experience

And you are correct, Meidjo releases laterally, it wouldn't have saved you from the tree grab Maybe I missed something from a previous post, but for release, are you saying they don’t release in a forward fall? I’m pretty sure they do. I don't see any way for it to release forward (release the duck...
